Gnanasekaran brings over thirty years of diverse professional experience spanning district-level NGOs, international and UN organizations, Government of India and Tamil Nadu State Government initiatives, as well as World Bank-supported projects.

He has worked across a wide range of issues, including health, HIV/AIDS, child protection, nutrition, education, poverty alleviation, skill development, and community development. In addition, he has served as an independent consultant, contributing to proposal development, monitoring and evaluation, training, and capacity-building initiatives.

He holds an MSW; an M.Phil. in Social Work; a PG Diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations and Labour Welfare; and a Diploma in Community Mental Health from NIMHANS. He has also completed several certified trainer programs across diverse domains.
