In June 2026, Miracle Foundation India’s Youth Ambassadors continued to lead diverse initiatives that promoted child protection, inclusion, leadership, and youth development across Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Telangana. In Tamil Nadu, building on the collaboration established with Marialaya Child Care Institution (CCI), Evanglin Jenifer is now supporting the planning of upcoming youth engagement programmes, while P. Merlin Sofiya facilitated a session on Career Anxiety and Future Planning, helping young people identify their strengths, manage career-related stress, and set achievable goals.
In Maharashtra, Sadhana engaged 20 young people in an awareness session on LGBTQI+ rights and inclusion, promoting empathy, equality, and respect for diversity. Ritesh conducted a child labour awareness session with 18 youth, highlighting children’s rights and the importance of education. Simran organized a cultural event and facilitated engagement activities with Bal Panchayat members, creating opportunities for leadership, confidence-building, and career discussions. In Nagpur, Uma and Suhani conducted interactive sessions on bullying and cyberbullying, equipping children with practical strategies to identify unsafe behaviour, seek support, and create safer peer environments.
T. Anitha from Telangana visited Utkoor village in Narayanpet district to better understand local challenges related to education, career guidance, and menstrual hygiene. She also interacted with the local Child Welfare Committee (CWC), gaining valuable insights into child protection mechanisms and child reintegration processes. Similarly, Somnath conducted a field visit that highlighted issues such as classroom discrimination and gaps in aftercare support for care leavers. Through interactions with the District Child Protection Unit, CWC, and frontline functionaries, he deepened his understanding of the child protection ecosystem and the support systems required to enable successful transitions for care-experienced young people.
These initiatives reinforce the value of investing in young people as leaders of change within their communities. Youth Ambassadors are beginning to drive dialogue on children’s rights, engage communities, and shift attitudes towards safer, more supportive environments for children. As they continue to grow in confidence and leadership, their influence has the potential to strengthen child protection efforts and inspire lasting change across communities.
