As an active member organization of the District Child Welfare and Protection Committee (DCWPC) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Miracle Foundation India participated in a comprehensive district review chaired by District Collector, Ms. Malathi Helen, IAS, on June 19, 2026. The meeting reviewed ongoing child protection initiatives across the district, with a focus on strengthening legal systems and care frameworks for children in need of care and protection.

A key highlight of the review was the collaborative progress on Individual Care Plans (ICPs), a cornerstone of Miracle Foundation India’s efforts to transition children from institutional care to safe, permanent family environments. ICPs help stakeholders better assess each child’s needs and make timely, informed decisions that support safe and sustainable family reintegration. The District Child Protection Officer also shared updates from the joint review meetings and online capacity-building sessions conducted in collaboration with Miracle Foundation India, highlighting ongoing efforts to enhance child protection services across Chennai.

Through its representation on the DCWPC, Miracle Foundation India remains committed to connecting grassroots practice with district-level policy implementation. By working closely with local government leadership, it continues to advance systemic changes that enable timely decision-making and promote sustainable family-based care for every child in Chennai.
