Chhavi Rajawat

Board Member

Chhavi is a former Sarpanch (elected head of the Village Council) from Soda village, Tonk district, Rajasthan and is the first Sarpanch in India with an MBA . Chhavi is an alumna of Rishi Valler School, Mayo College Girls School and Lady Shri Ram College. After completing MBA from Sri Balaji Society Pune, she worked for companies such as Times of India, Carlson Group of Hotels, Airtel, etc. before signing up to become a Sarpanch.

Chhavi’s mission has always been to co-create a holistic model for rural development, empower people, upskill and educate. Her service to the community has been recognized several times with awards that include the First Ladies National Award from the Hon’ble President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Reebok’s Fit To Fight Award, Young Indian Leader Award by CNN/IBN, Grassroots Women of the Decade Achievers Award, Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Shakti National Award, the All India Women Achievers Award, the Yuva Award and the Changing Face of Indian Politics Award. She has also been felicitated by Former President Late Shri Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

Chhavi is a motivational speaker and has given keynote speeches to hundreds of people at economic, governance, social justice and equity conferences in the Government, non-profits, businesses and universities.
