Barbara met me in Delhi on her way back to the states.  We shared a room and she had the honor of trying to sleep through my 5am board meeting call.  Jasdeep picked me up at 7:30 am and we headed to the airport for the flight to Ranchi. Barbara had provided me with an India blackberry so I added rupees and plugged it in to charge.

We had a nice flight to Ranchi.  We met up with Jay who will be staying and working with our children at Sooch Village.  Jay runs an organization,  http://tumblingtotsinternational.com/

As he aptly puts what he does:
“Briefly, my teaching philosophy is based on non-stop positive reinforcement and unconditional love. Children, especially toddlers are constantly shaping and re-shaping their beliefs and opinions about themselves. I believe the best way to be of service to the children is to fill them with self esteem and confidence, so that they may find their natural vigor and enthusiasm for life. I am not in any way unrealistc about the hardships these children have faced. I would love to be able to do what I do to try to help these children find that enthusiasm and have lots of fun doing it. “

We arrived in the early afternoon and spent the rest of the day discussing operations.  In the afternoon Jasdeep received a call from my cell phone.  Yes, I had managed to leave my cell phone plugged in at the Delhi departure lounge.  but what is amazing, is that they found it and called us so that we could claim the phone on my way home!
