Leadership Dialogues is a transformative platform designed by Miracle Foundation India to elevate and influence the discourse surrounding Family Strengthening (FS) and Family-Based Alternative Care (F-BAC) in India. The integral focus of the Leadership Dialogues is to acknowledge, recognize, and celebrate the contributions of the child protection workforce in the sphere of childcare and protection. The ultimate aim is to enable every child to thrive in a loving and safe family.
First Leadership Dialogue
The First Edition of the Leadership Dialogues was held on October 26, 2024. Our inaugural dialogue, focused on best practices in the realm of prevention and gatekeeping at the level of the Child Welfare Committee, besides deliberating on the role of the community in ensuring children stay with families.
Second Leadership Dialogue
The Second Edition of the Leadership Dialogues was held on February 15, 2024. Taking cue from the previous Leadership Dialogue where the focus was on ‘Prevention and Gatekeeping at the level of CWC’, the second edition focused on ‘The Role of Local Governance Bodies in Prevention and Gatekeeping’. This deliberation served as an introduction to why must the Local Governance Systems focus on child protection and what can be done specifically in the context of FS and F-BAC to ensure every child has a family.
Third Leadership Dialogue
The Third Edition of the Leadership Dialogues was held on May 29, 2024. Our esteemed panel deep-dived into the role of local governance bodies in prevention and gatekeeping as well as focused on the diverse gatekeeping practices at the local level, including community-based mechanisms, that work towards ensuring every child has a family.
Fourth Leadership Dialogue
The Fourth Edition of the Leadership Dialogues was held on July 31, 2024. This edition focused on demystifying the concept of family strengthening within the Mission Vatsalya framework, particularly emphasizing the transition process of children from childcare institutions to their families. Miracle Foundation India, through its continuous and sustained work across various regions, has seen significant success in family strengthening, resulting in a positive impact on children’s lives.
Fifth Leadership Dialogue
The Fifth Edition of the Leadership Dialogues was held on September 25, 2024. This edition focused on discussion around family strengthening services for children transitioning from Child Care Institutions to families or those at risk of separation.
