Double the Impact, Double the Fun

Our partnership with the Government of Maharashtra is in full swing! With the support of the state, we are training 30 leaders in Maharashtra—from 7 government homes and 23 NGO homes—on our methodology. These orphanages are home to about 1,200 children, and this partnership doubles the number of children we support!

We will train these leaders to reunify children with their families whenever possible and about the Rights of the Child, child protection, life skills education, attachment, caregiver training and more. Leveraging a train-the-trainer approach, we are helping dramatically improve the quality of care for orphaned children across the state.

Leaders from 24 homes in Maharashtra and 8 representatives from the Government’s Department of Women and Child Development attended the launch event earlier this month, along with honored guests from the Government of Maharashtra. Mr. Vijay Deshmukh, a Probation Officer with the Department of Women and Child Development said, “This is the first time I’ve seen what the Juvenile Justice Act (JJA) looks like when put into action. The Miracle Foundation Thrive Scale is a true reflection of the JJA. The JJA is a book and you’ve codified it into actionable milestones.”

We look forward to creating many more partnerships to bring life-changing care to even more children. And, we already have interest from other Indian states and governments around the world who want to explore similar partnerships with us.
