The Vishal Raju Bhagat Foundation, a memorial philanthropy which raises money to fight juvenile diabetes, sponsors many Sugar Bowls, charity flag football games, throughout the U.S. His foundation, which also sponsors The Miracle Foundation, inspired the staff at Anbarasi to stage a Sugar Free Olympics at the home. Caroline, Barbara, and our newest TMF ambassadors were on hand to participate in the activities. The festivities began with a flag-waving parade.
Notice the wonderful rangoli (traditional chalk painting) to celebrate the occasion.
Miracle Foundation founder, Caroline Boudreaux, hosted the ceremony, lighting the Olympic flame from the traveling torch.
Children, divided into teams, participated in many athletic events, including footraces, relays, tug of war competitions, high jump, long jump, and even hurdles.
