Girl Scout troops in Austin gave their time and creativity to make valentines for the children at the Bethel Child Care Institution (CCI). The children received their own, personalized valentines with hearts and stickers.
For these children, every sticker is a jewel.
Indians, as a people, love bright colors, and the warm pinks and purples of the valentines were like splashes of Holi powder.
The children were so happy to receive special valentines from children in America. They were able to practice their English while reading the special messages inside. If you are a scout troop or youth organization in the US, please consider sharing your creativity and love with children in India.
