Miracle Foundation India, in collaboration with Bal Kalyan Sangh, organized a youth counselling and leadership workshop in Jharkhand’s East Singhbhum district on July 20, 2025, bringing together 35 young people from Patamda, Boram, and Ghatshila blocks of the district. For many, it was the first time their voices were truly heard and their leadership nurtured. In communities where poverty, migration, child marriage, and child labour still put children at risk, these youth came together with one shared purpose: to learn how they could become protectors of children and supporters of families.
Through interactive sessions on child rights, the youth discovered their potential to act as ‘Barefoot Negotiators’ within their communities, listening with empathy, guiding families, and standing against social issues threatening the realization of children’s rights. The workshop transformed hesitation into hope, with participants leaving now as change agents, committed to protecting children, and building stronger, safer villages.
This marks only the first step; going forward, these youth will actively engage in their communities to prevent child labour and child marriage, promote education, and ensure every child’s rights are upheld.
