Miracle Foundation India’s Youth Ambassadors, drawn from Child Care Institutions and local communities, play a vital role in raising awareness about the importance of a family for every child and driving meaningful impact. This month, we celebrate Simran Irfan Khan from Pune, Maharashtra, who joined our Youth Ambassadors’ Program in January 2024.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree, Simran’s journey with us began as part of the very first Bal Panchayat group, where she discovered her passion for empowering young minds. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked closely with the team to distribute ration kits to families in need. Together with the team, Simran also played a key role in initiating impactful programs such as the Ward Child Protection Committee and supporting activities within the Child Parliament. Through workshops, she gained a deeper understanding of child protection issues, fueling her mission to create meaningful change in her Ramnagar slum community.
Simran’s unique approach to education is shaped by her own childhood struggles. Initially uninterested in studying, she found her curiosity sparked when she explored learning in a way that resonated with her. This transformation inspired her to help others discover the joy of education. Starting with just 4 children in 2019, Simran now teaches 80 regular students. The first student she ever taught now assists her in the classroom, and more youths are joining her, actively contributing to the learning environment. Her initiatives have reached over 600 children, incorporating activities like yoga, life skills, and sports to make learning engaging and fun. Her 2025 goal is to organize 100 interactive sessions to foster curiosity and host ‘Play for Peace’ activities to promote joyful education.
Simran’s journey highlights the power of curiosity and dedication. Through street plays and interactive activities, she empowers youth, addresses their educational challenges, and inspires her community to prioritize child welfare. As a Youth Ambassador, she wants to foster joyful learning and is paving the way for a brighter future.
