John Messer is a resident of Miami Beach, FL and the first Board Member of the Miracle Foundation who does not reside in the state of Texas. He has been actively involved with the Miracle Foundation for years in the role of Ambassador, having taken several trips to the orphanages, as an English as a Second Language and yoga instructor for the children, and most recently as a fundraiser outside the state of Texas. He is passionate about the children and determined to help the the organization grow exponentially to touch the lives of more children by convincing people living outside Texas to host fundraisers in their cities, hear Caroline Boudreaux’s story, and learn about the organization’s model based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

John worked after graduating from the University of Georgia with a Master of Accountancy for 38 years with Grant Thornton, LLP, international accounting and management consultant firm, serving for 25 years as a Tax Partner working with both publicly traded and privately held businesses and serving as the Tax Department Head of the South Florida offices.

Currently, he is volunteering his time around the globe as a Chef, ESL instructor, and yoga instructor for not-for-profit causes.
